Ukraine Front-Line Insights for European Defence Companies

Practical, first-hand insight into how your technology holds up at the front — starting with a focused conversation, not a long-term commitment.

Insight from someone who has actually been there

Ukraine's front line changes every few months — which drones work and which don't, what the Russians have adapted to, and what still gives an edge. For a European defence company, that is very difficult information to get from a report or a conference panel.

NODIH works with a Danish veteran who spent two years on the front line in Ukraine, in addition to two tours in Afghanistan. He has first-hand experience of what equipment is actually used, trusted, and requested by Ukrainian units — and what is not.

We offer European small and medium-sized defence companies the chance to talk directly with him, in a short, focused session, about where their product or technology fits into that reality.

This is aimed at companies that are not yet present in Ukraine but want a clear, honest picture before deciding whether — and how — to engage further.

Get started

Start with a few hours, not a strategy project

You do not need to commission a full strategic review to get useful answers. Most companies start with a single session of 2-5 hours, built around a few concrete questions:

  • Is our technology relevant to how the war is actually being fought at the front right now?
  • Who are we competing against — how many comparable products exist, and what do they cost?
  • Where does our product genuinely stand out, and where does it fall short?
  • What would we need to know before engaging with the Ukrainian market?

We keep the scope tight and the format simple: a confidential conversation, followed by a short written summary if useful. The strategic decisions remain yours — our role is to give you clear, practical input. If it makes sense afterwards, we can go further and help identify Ukrainian partners, distributors, or end users, but that is a separate, later step, not a prerequisite.

What you get

First-hand front-line perspective: direct input from a Danish veteran with two years on the front line in Ukraine and two tours in Afghanistan — not desk research.

A clear read on competition: an honest view of how many comparable products exist, what they cost, and how your offering compares.

A low-risk way to start: a few hours of focused conversation, with no obligation to commit to anything larger.

Ukrainian network, if and when useful: should you want to go further, we can help identify relevant partners and contacts in Ukraine's defence sector.
